Nic Salt, Sub-ohm, E-liquid, Juice, e-juice - Which one do I choose?

Once you have a refillable device, you’ll be given the option to use salt or sub-ohm nicotine. salt nicotine or nic salt is much more concentrated, typically only found in 12mg/ml and 20mg/ml. Salt nicotine enters your bloodstream immediately after you vape it, very similarly to tobacco. This is partially because salt nicotine is extracted directly from a tobacco plant but, it mainly has to do with the higher concentration. Sub-ohm nicotine is typically much lower in concentration and can be found in 3mg/ml, 6mg/ml and in rare cases 12mg/ml. It is synthetically made and it takes anywhere from 10-15 minutes for the nicotine to circulate into your bloodstream.

An important thing to remember is that certain devices work better for each type of nicotine. Due to the varying viscosity of the e-liquids, they are typically used with different levels of resistance in their coils and with that a different level of power needs to be run to said coils.

It is generally recommended that salt nicotine juice or e-juice, is used under 40 watts (which is still very high, a more common wattage level would be 25 watts) and that Sub-ohm juice is used at 40 watts or higher. So when you are looking into a device, keep this information in mind. Some devices are more oriented towards nic salt alone, or towards sub-ohm alone but, there are plenty of options that allow for the use of both types of e-liquids.
